00:03:07Pakistani national Gazi Baba helped the FID Squad, a group of terrorists, travel to Delhi and hide in different locations. They obtained fake identity cards and bought a white ambassador car and red beacon to deceive police checkpoints. They made preparations, including buying explosives and having a feast at a restaurant. On December 13, 2001, while Parliament was in session, the terrorists attacked. The chaos caused the session to end earlier than usual, allowing the terrorists to enter the Parliament building.
00:06:01Recently, as a member of Bravo Company responsible for securing Parliament during session, Kumari was vigilant and noticed a suspicious car approaching. She bravely tried to stop the car but unintentionally caused it to hit another vehicle. The impact loosened the bomb detonator wires, and the terrorists inside opened fire. Kumari and a gardener nearby were the first to fall. Meanwhile, inside Parliament, security personnel swiftly closed all side doors, but the main door remained open. Squad leader Mohammad attempted to enter but was stopped by constables Tapa and Singh, who shot and killed him. Singh was injured but managed to reach safety.
00:08:43During the Parliament Attack in 2001, after the main door was shut, four terrorists attempted to find another way into the parliament building. CRPF Constable D Santos Kumar successfully eliminated three of them, while the last terrorist managed to reach gate number five and threw grenades before being killed by CRPF Constable Shamir Singh. The attack resulted in casualties and injuries. In 2023, security was breached again in the new Parliament building by unarmed activists who were later apprehended by the MPs. The security lapse was due to a loophole in the footwear check during entry. As a result, opposition MPs were expelled, and the activists faced legal consequences.
00:11:39In 2001, security measures such as cameras, vapor sensors, and barricades were implemented on the roads leading to Parliament following a terrorist attack. Constable Kamesh Kumari received the Ashoka Chakra, becoming the first woman to be honored with this award. Constables Sukinda Singh, YB Tapa, Santosh Kumar, and Shamir Singh were awarded the Shaurya Chakra and promoted in 2003. Gazi Baba was killed by the Border Security Forces in Srinagar, while AAL Guru was hanged on February 9, 2013. However, the wanted kingpin, Molana Masud AAR, still remains at large in Pakistan. It is strictly prohibited for anyone to engage in violence within the sacred premises of Parliament House. For more details and sources, please refer to the video description section.
